A Wildflower Wedding at Haarlem Mill

At the end of July last year, Bethan and Andrew got married. They had a beautiful humanist wedding ceremony, during which they drank whiskey from a quaich - a Scottish tradition said to seal the bond between two people. Haarlem Mill, an industrial wedding venue in Derbyshire, was a the perfect place for them. They decked out their Land Rover in sunflowers, had wildflowers and pops of colours throughout the old mill, and gave their guests some of the best favours I’ve ever seen: a Tunnock’s tea cake, and Yorkshire tea bag.

Every part of the day had elements of their personalities. For a couple who climb mountains and drink whiskey together, then curl up with a cup of tea and their dog, I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate.
