Louise and Alun’s Welsh Wedding - Which was only on the bleedin’ telly!

Imagine the scene - it’s 2020, and you’re looking forward to planning your wedding and escaping the interminable lockdown. So you forge ahead, make bookings with several vendors and then see that, actually, it’s a bleedin’ nightmare and there are loads of other things you need to focus your efforts on. 2020 was all about survival, amiright?

This is exactly what happened with Louise and Alun, and given that I’d completely fallen in love with their two whippets during our consultation, I knew I’d always consider them to be the ones who got away.

But then, 18 months after our initial contact, Louise got back in touch. “Not sure if you remember us,” she wrote. As if, Louise! “But our wedding’s back on. And it’s in April. Five months away. Are you available?” Um, yes! There were a few caveats though, mostly involving the fact that their ceremony was to be filmed as part of a docu-series on Welsh tv channel, S4C. And it was a completely different venue. And it rained, a lot.

Louise and Alun had an intimate ceremony in the open air castle at Llansteffan. It was the first ever ceremony there, and you can watch the build up here (subtitles are available).
