This weekend I got the immense pleasure of capturing Nicole and Ciara’s wedding at Chilli Barn, near Leeds. I was super pumped for three reasons -

  1. This would be the first wedding I’ve shot at Chilli Barn. I always love going to venues for the first time, with no preconceptions of how things are done there. Meeting new people and going to new places are a huge perk of my job!

  2. Nicole and Ciara are bloody lovely. We met for their preshoot recently and I don’t think the three of us stopped laughing. Photographing people who take themselves too seriously is a bit shit really, and I knew it was going to be nonstop lols.

  3. I was staying late. Now I won’t lie, sometimes I get to the middle of the evening and I’m glad to be heading home to my bed, but I knew this party would pop off. There’s no way these two would allow people to ignore their band and nurse a pint all evening. I was absolutely proved correct - shots on the dancefloor, shots all over the dancefloor, Nicole doing the splits three times (because why not), hilarious moves and the brides’ first dance to Summer Renaissance at 11pm. That song is NSFW or little ears, if you’re curious.

Without much ado, and because I’ve got a bowl of crumble going cold on my desk, here are some photos…
