I'm Caroline
A woman standing in front of a mural featuring a woman with red hair and green eyes, wearing pearls and earrings, alongside a black and white cat, with a large moon and dark clouds in a window in the background.

I’ve been a wedding photographer for about 7 years. I started off photographing my kids, then some friends asked me to photograph their kids, then some other friends asked me to photograph their wedding. In 2017 I photographed my sister’s wedding at the Bluecoat in Liverpool, and a friend’s wedding in France, and I was hooked.

I just adore telling stories, capturing real moments, and sharing the way I see the world. Normal moments, the every day stuff we see all the time, has magic in it, and that’s what I’m trying to capture. Whenever I work with a couple or a family my goal is to give them something real. An authentic retelling of a moment.

Getting to know a couple, sharing stories and interests, working with them to collaborate on something really special, is close to my heart. I started this business because I love taking photos, and over time I’ve realised that there’s so much more to it than that. What keeps me going, after hundreds of weddings, is the feeling of making something unique, something that only that couple have, that means they can relive this moment in time. Anyone can take a photo of anything, but what makes it special is when it has some unique detail, an essence of something that only happened then, or a characteristic that was on show just for a moment. That’s what I want to give all the couples I work with - a record of the things that happened in those moments, with humour and joy, real emotion and no performance.

Nice to meet you

I value the simple life - an exploration through the woods or up a big hill, with a backpack containing some homemade cake and flasks of tea is one my big joys in life. If I’ve got the family with me - my husband, two kids, and our dog, Heidi, then all the better.

In many ways I’m a typical millennial - my sourdough starter lives on the kitchen worktop, and I bake a loaf of bread most days in my house filled with plants and indie music. I spend my spare time reading books, cooking, and often dancing around my kitchen. Some of the greatest pleasures in my life are shout singing along to Taylor Swift with my daughter in the car and watching Taskmaster with my son.

I have an unhealthy addiction to Vinted. I love weather that slaps you round the face. My favourite TV programme is Ghosts (criminally underrated). If I had to choose a last meal it’d probably be ramen. I get obsessed with bands and have to listen to their entire back catalog for weeks on end, then a new one takes over. I love history podcasts.

These are the kinds of things I want to know about you, too. What do you love most? How do you spend your days? What brings you meaning and purpose?

I live in Chester with my kids, dog and very patient husband, and I photograph weddings all over the UK.

Think we’d be a good match?
