Glamping and weddings.

It’s a match made in heaven. Eloise and Michael clearly thought so too, when they chose to have their wedding at Rhyse Farm - a glamping wedding venue in Worcestershire. And it’s impossible to talk about E + M’s wedding without also mentioning ‘the bloody weather’ - Eloise’s words, not mine. It totally chucked it down for days, leading to some interesting messages between Eloise and me a couple of days before the day. Truth is, it rains sometimes, and some of those times are wedding times. But it’s usually nothing a pair of wellies and a brolly can’t sort, and it’s just better when a whole wedding party dances in the rain, rather than wishing it was sunny.

And so it proved to be! E+M’s day passed in a flurry of love from friends and family, properly excellent food, and people who’d never known each other finding connections as the day progressed. Eloise got ready with some friends and her mum in a building that’s been converted exactly for this reason. The ceremony (led by Eloise’s aunt) was in one of the old barns on the farm, and another barn is where they ate food and shared speeches. There’s also a barn that’s been converted into a kind of pub - a room with a pool table, speakers and a fridge - for people to relax in. Rhyse Farm is one of the biggest venues I’ve worked at recently, but it feels intimate and connected, even so. It’s a really fab option for couples looking for a relaxed but still very looked-after kind of vibe.
