Family Wedding at Swancar Farm - Holly and Mike

Holly and Mike got married at Swancar Farm, which is a modern barn in Nottingham with countryside views.

Holly went to the salon with her bridal party for their hair and make up in the morning, then came home to get ready with her bridesmaids and parents. It was a proper family wedding, with four generations, which I find completely amazing! Last year Holly and Mike had a little boy, and he looked so dapper in his little suit. It was a chilled out morning with a traditional church ceremony. Always great to hear folks dig deep and try to remember the tune to hymns they sang at school, and these guys delivered! The church songs were played by a great solo guitarist and singer called George, who carried on playing for them during the reception.

Swancar Farm is one of the most beautiful places to have a wedding in Nottingham – it is really peaceful and secluded, and offers exclusive use of the venue. There are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photo ops. Weddings at Swancar Farm are amazing, because the grounds are completely stunning. Guests mingled while we did Holly and Mike’s group shots and couple photos. There was a bit of strategic rain dodging, and we came back to find folks downing jagerbombs and singing along with George in the drizzle. It was a bit like walking into a 90s music video, these guys were pulling out all the moves!
