The Data I collect
The data I collect is limited to that which is necessary to fulfil the terms of the bookings.
When you enquire
I require your names, an email address, and the date and location of your wedding/shoot. If you wish to you may also provide a telephone number.
When you book
I will also collect your surnames and postal address for your contract, plus any further details about your wedding that you might choose to share. Payment is collected via bank transfer or Stripe. I do not collect bank account details.
During your shoot
On the wedding day/during your shoot I will take photographs and/or video content. Couples might choose to also provide me with the details of any key people and vendors.
After your Shoot
Photographs and videos are delivered through a third party gallery system (Pic-Time) which has its own security. Galleries are maintained for a minimum of 12 months on this system, and RAW (unprocessed) images are maintained for a maximum period of 4 years. RAW images are never shared anywhere.
Any purchases of printed products made through Pic-Time galleries are processed via Stripe, a trusted third party capable of processing card payments. Card details are not collected.
How I Use Your Info
I use information provided to me to: respond to your enquiry; provide photography services; generate contracts and invoices; deliver galleries and albums; discuss your plans with you; update my online portfolio of work; share imagery over my website, social media channels, print photos for wedding fair marketing materials, and enter photography competitions if permission for these is granted.
I will never collect more information than I need, and I will never use it for anything unrelated to your wedding or my business operations.

Sharing Your Information
I do not and will never sell, trade or rent your personal information.
My enquiry form asks if you would like recommendations of other photographers if I am not free on your date. They will be shown the date and location of your wedding, plus any extra information of your plans that you have provided me. I will never share your names or email addresses in this circumstance.
Your information may be shared only where necessary with:
Professional album printers
Accountants (for financial/legal requirements)
Website and hosting providers
Trusted service providers who help me run my business

Image Use & Marketing
As a photographer, showing the photos I have taken is crucial to secure bookings from future couples. Your contract outlines how this will be done through my online portfolio (on website), social media channels, blog posts, competitions and promotional materials.
Prior to your shoot, you are required to opt in to allow image sharing. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Sometimes I am given partial consent - eg for the couple but no guests, or no children. I always respect these wishes.

Your personal data includes your names, email and postal addresses. I retain these details for as long as necessary to fulfil the booking. For legal and accounting purposes I typically retain this data for 6 years. Final wedding images are held indefinitely on Pic-Time, unless deletion is requested.
