A Christmas Micro Wedding - Micro Wedding Photographer
Emma and Harry live on the other side of the planet. Both scientists, they met at university, in a house share, doing the same placement. Emma from Ayrshire, and Harry from Manchester. They flew back to the UK for Christmas, and tied the knot on December 28th in a beautiful ceremony at the Piersland Hotel. This wasn’t always the plan though - they had intended to get married in spring 2026 in Cheshire, but life happens and after much planning and discussion, plans change.
So it was that a couple of days after Christmas I set off on a journey to capture their new plan - a small wedding, with mostly family, in a hotel in Ayrshire. Amazingly, the new plans were pulled together in a matter of weeks, and family pitched in as much as they could to make everything come together. My favourite part of this wedding was how comfortable everyone felt. Everyone was just so happy it was happening, and truly glad to be part of Emma and Harry’s day. Emma and Harry had both mentioned they weren’t super into being photographed, so wanted an approach that made no demands of them on their day. As a documentary wedding photographer, that’s exactly what I do.
