Olivia and Justin’s Wedding at Peak District Holiday Barns

Saturday saw me return to Peak District Holiday Barns for the second time - and it’s still excellent! More on that later, let’s talk about Liv and Justin’s wedding.

When I arrived, Liv was in the main house with her sister, friends and mum, getting ready in the most chill way. They even had filled pasta to go with their prosecco, it was that chilled. After a DIY hair/makeup session, everyone got suited and booted and it was go time. Justin’s dad played the violin while Liv walked out of the house to begin their outdoor wedding ceremony. The couple got formally married several months ago, so Saturday was all about a big celebration with the people they love. Their friend led a beautiful ceremony in which everyone sang pop songs - and literally no one got their phone out to record it. It was wonderful to see everyone fully present and feeling part of the ceremony, rather than just witnessing it.

After the ceremony we had a quick photo sesh then the rest of the day was about capturing things in the moment. Stupendously emotional speeches delivered with eloquence and humour, loads of laughter and some excellent dancefloor shapes. Liv and Justin had everything a wedding should be - the warm fuzzies, loads of laughter and plenty of hugs between pals.
