Zoe and Scott’s Pumping House Summer Wedding

Zoe and Scott got married at the Pumping House in Nottinghamshire on a gorgeously hot August day. From their prewedding photoshoot, I had an idea that Zoe was incredibly kind, bubbly and chatty, and that Scott was just madly in love with her. I knew they were active people who loved being outside with their dog - so we had a huge amount in common there. And that they’d chosen one of my absolute favourite wedding venues ever - one that I will happily drive two and a bit hours from my home in Cheshire to hang out at.

If you’re not familiar with the Pumping House, let me explain. It’s a big old brick building with semi-circular windows, parquet flooring, indoor balconies, loads of dinky little rooms with quirky features…I could go on. It’s a historic building that’s been repurposed for weddings. The photos you can get from a wedding here are unlike any you can get anywhere else because it genuinely is unique. The staff are brilliant at looking after vendors and guests alike. You get a separate, private space to get ready. Everything just flows perfectly.

So it’s little surprise that this couple from South Yorkshire chose to pop down the road to get married here.

Pops of colour and fun - all day long

So into this grand, historic building, enter Zoe and Scott. And a cut out of Ron the labrador. The flowers were insane - wild, seasonal, bursting with colour and just everything you want to see in high summer. The stationery and table decor was absolutely on point. And there was crazy golf, plus crazy table tennis and a few other bits and bobs out on the lawn to keep everyone busy and happy all afternoon long.

Zoe and Scott were absolutely unstoppable when it came to their couple photos. We did them in two lots, because the light just did not stop all damn day. I could go on and on about how excellent they were but let’s just watch their video and look at their photos instead, shall we?
