A Wedding at Talhenbont Hall

Mim and Fred got married in May 2025 at Talhenbont Hall - a centuries old family estate in the rugged hills of North Wales. They chose Talhenbont for their wedding because you can do everything in one place, and that one place is absolutely stunning. There are hotel rooms for some to stay over, and get ready in, a beautiful, spacious bridal suite, a ceremony space that doubles as a reception area, two well-stocked bars, views for days and you can have it for a whole weekend. An added bonus - Talhenbont is also dog friendly, so Mim and Fred were able to include their fur baby in their plans.

How they did it

Mim and Fred had their hearts set on an outdoor ceremony, but the weather had other plans. After a couple of days of nonstop heavy rain, conditions were too slippy to safely get their guests down to the outdoor ceremony area, so the staff and stylist team sprang into action to make the indoor ceremony space equally beautiful. None of the guests were any the wiser! Mim got ready with her bridesmaids and her mum, while Fred spent the morning with his groomsmen and the dog, so the first time they saw one another was the ceremony. The ceremony was bilingual - Welsh and English - to include all their guests. The readings were also a mix of Welsh and English, and it was clear to see just how important this was to Mim.

A quick confetti throw of real petals and some group photos later, everyone enjoyed canapés in the sunshine and the lawn dried out! That meant being able to get down to the outdoor ceremony area and include it in some way for Mim and Fred. This was followed by speeches, the meal (delicious), and dancing.

My favourite part about photographing a wedding at Talhenbont is how well set up the team is. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. This is exactly what you want on your wedding day, so you can relax and enjoy it with all your guests.

Mim and Fred opted for the David and Patrick Package. They had 10 hours of photographs and a highlights film. Their film can be viewed after the photos, followed by a list of all the vendors Mim and Fred chose to create their wedding day.
