Cate and Matt
Cate and Matt got married in October at the Hilton Doubletree in Chester. The basic layout of weddings at Doubletree Chester is a large barn-inspired room, complete with fairy lights and huge windows (a big bonus for this wedding photographer), and Cate’s creative vision saw this hotel wedding venue transformed.
Cate and I met at The UnWedding Show in Manchester a year prior to the wedding. She and Matt booked so many awesome North West wedding vendors from there, including a portrait artist to paint guests throughout the day.
Double Tree Chester
Doubletree Chester is a dark horse of a venue - not one you’d necessarily pick to have a modern, alternative wedding like Cate and Matt’s, but it absolutely nails the brief. The wedding team are like a well-oiled machine, and they really know how to style the space to make it pop. One of the things I loved about Doubletree Chester is that so much can be done in one place - there’s absolutely no need to leave! Cate got ready in a suite onsite, the venue has a wedding license, everyone’s fed in the same place and there are substantial grounds for portraits. The cherry on top is that guests were able to stay overnight, which was great for Matt’s family who’d joined the wedding from the Netherlands, and it meant everyone has way more fun dancing the night away.
