Alycia and Tyler’s Autumnal Wedding at The Maynard, Grindleford

Tyler and Alycia got married on November 30th 2024 at the Maynard pub in Grindleford - a tiny village in the Peak District, a minutes’ drive from Padley Gorge (one of my absolute favourite places in the whole world). The weather was drizzly and grey, but Alycia’s enthusiasm won everyone over immediately. That woman is a ray of sunshine, and Tyler is helping us all to celebrate that.

I met Alycia and Tyler back in the summer at Sheffield Botanical Gardens for a prewedding photoshoot. I’ll share some of those pictures in a mo - they’re some of my favourite I’ve ever done! We bonded over Taylor Swift - Alycia had just been to see her, and my daughter spent most of the spring of 2024 playing Reputation on repeat on every car journey. I got to know them a little, and they confirmed once again for me that sometimes the best matches are the ones you least expect.

The Pre Wedding Shoot Photos

Tyler and Alycia spent their whole day beaming. This was a fusion of more than two families - it was two cultures coming together. Malaysia meets Yorkshire. The speeches were a beautiful, heart-felt, hilarious reflection of this.

My favourite part of the day was going to Padley Gorge for some couple photos, followed closely by both T&A being raised up by their friends on the dancefloor. Their party spirit worked a treat, and got everyone up and dancing.
