Relax.

Planning a wedding is a big deal. I really hope you’re loving the process, and making choices that get you so excited for the day. And finding someone to photograph your wedding can be a tricky decision - not only can being in front of the camera be a bit nerve-wracking, but you’ve also got to find someone you click with, and who works in a way you want, plus they’ve got to produce the sort of work you’ll want to look back at for years to come. It’s a tall order, and there are styles out there for everyone.

You’ll see the way I work is all about capturing the action that’s happening around me without intervening. I don’t direct the day in any way, or get people to move into better light or repeat something. I’m all about getting the genuine moments as they’re happening. I’m alert to what’s going on around me, and I like to get in on the action. The result is a wedding where the photographer starts to blend in and go unnoticed, so you can just enjoy your day without being paraded around for awkward photos or anything cheesy. You get to hang out with your family and friends and actually enjoy the wedding you’re planning so carefully.

Hey I’m Caroline

I’m a North West-based wedding photographer also offering video, with a relaxed approach.

I’m also a wanderluster | bumpkin | kitchen raver | mum | vinted addict | daydreamer | chief fusser of dogs at weddings

UK-Wide wedding photography

You create it. I capture it.

Finding the right wedding photographer isn’t an easy task. While some prefer to stay with a local choice, others might decide that there’s no one nearby who shoots weddings in quite the right way.

I’m based in Chester and regularly photograph weddings across Cheshire, Manchester, Liverpool, North Wales, the Peak District, and beyond. I’m always up for travelling further afield for relaxed, creative celebrations anywhere in the UK or Europe.

One of the highlights of working as a wedding photographer is meeting all kinds of people, from all kinds of places. It’s never the same workday twice, and it’s often a really quirky venue. These are the things that I love - capturing people in the places they’ve chosen, whether that’s a forest in the Peak District, a music venue in Sheffield or a converted farm in the Welsh hills.

You want video with that?

Hybrid def. noun - a thing made by combining two different elements.

In addition to taking photos, I also capture moments on video. Hybrid wedding photography is where the two meet. It’s like the video version of a photo album - short clips taken throughout the wedding day, alongside your photos, and set to music that suits you. Hit the button to learn more. Everything is shot in a low-key, documentary style that doesn’t intrude on your day.

"Having Caroline there just felt like an extension of our friends and family, it warms my heart just thinking about it now. We cant stop looking at the amazing photos Caroline captured, they are absolutely everything and more. Apart from Matt and I picking each other, choosing Caroline to capture our day was one of the best decisions we made."
