How I shoot

your wedding

You’re looking for a photographer who looks for candid moments over anything staged. You want genuine moments captured, without being asked to repeat an action or move into better light.

You don’t want to leave the party to take set up photos, line ups or endless portraits. Just a few well chosen group photos, that can be taken near the action will be enough, and even then no pressure will come from me to take them.

You don’t ever want the photography to dominate your plans. You just want to have a proper knees up with the people you love the most.

Authentic. Unique. Undeniably yours.

Welcome to Caroline Goosey Photography

the story begins…

Hi! I’m Caroline. I’m really happy you’re here, and I’d like to start this by saying “Congratulations!” There’s a good chance you’re deep in the throes of planning your wedding, and I’d love to explain what I do and help you figure out if I’m the right person to photograph your wedding.

I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings all over the UK, and I’ve learnt that…

  1. Weddings are a celebration, and you should focus only on what brings you joy.

  2. Every wedding is unique, because it’s the people, not the stuff, that makes a wedding what it is.

  3. Traditions don’t need to be included if you don’t like them.

your wedding is not my photoshoot.

I’m capturing your day for you, so that you can look back at the photos and remember what the day felt like, and see the bonds between everyone who was there. What I try to capture is everything I’ve talked about above. The unique collection of people around you, the joy between you all, the emotion and the fact that this day will never happen again in the same way.

Take a look around and if you like what you see, get in contact using the form at the bottom of the page.

Where do we even begin… I honestly cannot recommend Caroline enough, I was immediately drawn to Caroline’s style of work and her ability to capture the real raw and candid moments of a wedding day, the personality of the day. She’s an absolute pro at it! We hadn’t even met before booking Caroline, but I could just tell from her instagram (and the photo package names 😂) that she was our cuppa tea! Caroline exceeded expectations on the day and within the final product too. Having Caroline there just felt like an extension of our friends and family, it warms my heart just thinking about it now. We cant stop looking at the amazing photos Caroline captured, they are absolutely everything and more. Apart from Matt and I picking each other, choosing Caroline to capture our day was one of the best decisions we made. A million thank yous Caroline, you’re the best! 💖

Bridie & Marcus

Caroline was the perfect photographer for our less than traditional wedding day! From our first chat at a wedding fair to our pre-shoot, she completely got our vibe, our vision of our celebration and put two people not used to being in front of the camera at complete ease. On the day, she slotted in seamlessly with everyone, capturing all the best, candid moments and the energy of our unforgettable day. She's an amazing storyteller and we're so happy with the memories caught on camera.

It’s me. Hi.

I’m Caroline.

I’ve been a wedding photographer for about 7 years and I love my job. I can’t imagine ever doing anything else.

When I’m not working I’m probably walking my dog, baking or dancing around with my kids (while they still tolerate my nonsense). My favourite place is North Wales - it’s like a beautiful adventure park for adults - and I love sitting in the wilderness with my dog and a hot cuppa. I’m a bookworm and I always have at least 3 books on the go (usually two novels and a history book). I’d love to travel more and I’m making it my mission to go interrailing with the kids before they finish high school.

From our initial zoom call, where Caroline instantly got the essence of our day (and was able to reassure two camera shy people!), to all the helpful information over email, to the day itself, Caroline's professionalism, talent and personable nature shone through. We knew from her portfolio that the photos would be amazing, but to see the vibe and feel of the day captured so perfectly through a candid view, where emotions and fleeting moments were captured in perfect frame, was beyond words. She provided direction where needed, chatted to our guests, and knew just where to be at the right time.
